Mrs. Shoshana Jaroslawicz

Meet Mrs. Jaroslawicz

Honest, kind, and hardworking, Mrs. Jaroslawicz holds a degree as a Juris Doctor and credits her background in law for helping her become a teacher whose students feel safe and secure in her presence. When Mrs. Jaroslawicz worked as a prosecutor in New York, she saw many children being called in as witnesses. She was able to develop and hone her talents for working with children and connecting with them in both a professional and caring way.

What I do

My role is to enable my fourth-grade students to learn and master the curriculum, enjoy doing so, and feel a sense of success and accomplishment in the process. I hope to imbue them with an appreciation for the ability to use language to connect with others and to express ideas and feelings. I also strive to demystify and teach them math.

How I make a difference at YTCTE

I absolutely love languages, especially English. Because of my curiosity and thirst for knowledge, I enjoy researching, learning, and teaching. I work to transmit that curiosity and joy for learning to my students. Whatever I do, I do to the best of my ability, and I take pride in my open communications, willingness to learn, and the hard work I put into every responsibility granted to me.

My favorite part about what I do

Watching young minds acquire skills and knowledge is an awesome adventure. It’s exciting to help children develop not only knowledge and skills, but the self-confidence that accompanies that development.

Parting Words

I had a son attend YTCTE and I liked the educational philosophy I saw then. I know the culture of the school and I appreciate it greatly. It is a warm, nurturing, academically excellent school, with an emphasis on meeting individual children’s unique needs, as well as being supportive of the students and teachers. I am proud to join the staff of YTCTE.
