Meet Mrs. Rivka Lichtman
Building foundations for the future is one way to describe Mrs. Lichtman’s role as Kriah Director. With a Master’s Degree in Literacy and Special Education, and over 18 years of prior experience in Queens and Vancouver, Mrs. Lichtman knows what it takes to get kids to learn. Organized and methodical in her approach, she helps students progress from reading aleph-bais to multi-syllable words and finally to full paragraphs.
What I do
I coordinate the kriah instruction, including classroom push-in instruction and remedial instruction, in grades 1-5 for the KES Girls Division helping students become accurate and fluent readers.
How I make a difference at YTCTE
I want every child to learn how to read and love working hard to see struggling students transform into fluent readers.
My favorite part about what I do
It gives me such pleasure to set students up for success!
