Meet Mr. Jonathan Ouaknine
Analytical and empathetic, Mr. Ouaknine’s background in psychology and his experience as a development coach and tutor makes him ideally suited to teach and reach all his students. An enthusiastic educator who is passionate about creating engaging learning experiences, Mr. Ouaknine believes in fostering a collaborative and open classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their interests.
What I do
As the lead instructor in my fourth grade boys class, I teach so much more than English and math. I’m particularly attuned to the social and emotional aspects of education and work hard to identify areas of need, coming up with methods to address those needs in a systematic and efficient manner.
How I make a difference at YTCTE
My goal is to not only impart knowledge, but also to help students develop important life skills and a strong sense of self-awareness. This, in turn, contributes to their overall growth and success in and beyond the classroom. By fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, I can create opportunities for each student to thrive both academically and emotionally.
My favorite part about what I do
Witnessing the genuine moments of learning and growth is what makes teaching so rewarding.
