What I Do

As a third grade Rebbe, I truly love learning together with the boys.  I focus on teaching the skills necessary to analyze Pesukim and Mishnayos. I work tirelessly to create a positive classroom environment where children feel safe and loved.  That security is the foundation upon which children can learn and grow the most.

I also help to oversee the carpool system, monitoring behavior on the buses and ensure that both physical and emotional safety flow seamlessly from classroom to transit.

How I Make a Difference at YTCTE

It’s so important for a boy to have a warm kesher with his Rebbe.  This is attained by having a structured classroom with clear expectations, consistency, a lot of positivity and of course a never-ending supply of rare erasers!  I take pride in having a wonderful relationship with my boys and introducing them to the gratifying experience of really delving into our precious Torah.

My Favorite Part about What I Do

It is incredible to develop positive relationships with my boys and  see their delight when they hone the skills to think critically and come up with questions that were even asked by Chazal, Rashi, and other Gedolim. And they love trying to stump me! Together, we publish a class sefer at the end of the year that is the best culmination of the growth and learning that took place.

Parting Words

Keeping learning fresh and innovative is what I aim to do, so my students never know quite what to expect when they walk in the door. I love coming up with creative ways to make learning more exciting for my students.
