Meet Rabbi Zelig Privalsky
When someone has a question, Rabbi Privalsky is there with answers. Driven, energetic and able to connect with anyone, he helps ensure the students at DACHS are always progressing, both in and outside the classroom. Rabbi Privalsky learned in the Mirrer Yeshiva and Ponevezh, as well as Bais Medrash Govoha in Lakewood. He’s also the Director of Community Development at Kollel Zichron Michel of North Miami Beach.
What I do
I’m the resource who makes sure each student is reaching his potential, while enjoying the learning process. From the boys who need extra support to master the Gemara, to the students who are at the top of their class, I’m there for every student, whenever they need it.
How I make a difference at YTCTE
These formative years are crucial, and talmidim need someone they can turn to to help them grow. That’s what I do. I'm that resource for the boys to lean on and ask questions. I show them the beauty of Torah and a Torah lifestyle, so it becomes real and relevant to their personal growth, instead of being just another subject.
My favorite part about what I do
I take pride in the success of each and every talmid. My favorite is seeing a talmid who didn't initially enjoy learning, start to grow in learning…while enjoying it! I also enjoy explaining a concept and watching as understanding dawns on a talmid’s face.
I've given shiurim to the adults in the South Florida community for years. When the opportunity arose to work with the children as well, I jumped on it. At YTCTE, I’m able to work with the future leaders of Klal Yisroel and mold them into true Bnei Torah. It’s exciting!
