Rabbi Yosef Platt

Meet Rabbi Yosef Platt

Rabbi Platt’s enthusiasm and positivity can be seen both in and out of the classroom. Whether as a classroom Rebbe, running boys learning programs, giving shiurim, serving as an EMT, or playing his guitar and drums, his life’s mission is to help, and he uses his many talents to enhance the lives of others and spread Hashem’s Torah. Rabbi Platt loves learning and embraces the opportunity to work hard, earning multiple semichos through the years.

What I do

I teach Bekiyus to 10th and 11th grade and focus on instilling in my talmidim a love of Torah, a desire to work hard and a genuine feeling of self-worth.

How I make a difference at YTCTE

Learning Gemorah is never easy. By the end of the school year, when I can tangibly see the growth of so many of my talmidim, I know I made a difference in their lives and in the very future of Klal Yisroel.

My favorite part about what I do

I am proud to be a positive role model for my talmidim and my community and provide them with the tools to succeed.

Parting Words

In addition to my love for teaching and music, I also enjoy long-distance running and pushing my physical limits. My students also find it fascinating that I have a k’sav kabbalah for shechita too!
