Meet Rabbi Harayl Askotzky
Rabbi Askotzky is one of those rare individuals who makes wearing a million hats look easy. It might be due to his endless supply of good natured amiability, or his incredible work ethic. He takes on anything that’s handed to him with a smile, including the hard jobs that no one knows how to handle.
What I do
I manage and improve the systems that help run the yeshiva. There’s a lot that goes into that. I manage and oversee our admission office, collections teams, IT department, financial office staff and all the recurring contracts with utility vendors. I also oversee the government funding and grants, and negotiate and manage the yeshiva’s health insurance plans.
How I make a difference at YTCTE
Improving systems doesn’t happen in a vacuum. I keep things orderly so the yeshiva can operate efficiently, and a big part of that is getting everyone else on board with our processes and any changes that need to happen.
My favorite part about what I do
The great thing about optimizing operations in a complex organization is there are always opportunities to make them better. I enjoy finding new ways to continuously improve our financial and business systems.
Parting Words
I’m proud of the incredible progress we’ve made. Clearly the changes we’re implementing are working!
