Meet Mrs. Ruth Schwartz
Passionate and nurturing, Mrs. Schwartz can connect to all types of learners. With close to two decades of teaching experience in elementary, Montessori and special education, she has the ability to look at each student individually and cater to their unique strengths and weaknesses.
What I do
I teach an ACE resource class as well as a fifth grade secular studies class. I enjoy using drawings and attractive material to make math more than just numbers on a page, and I push my students to grow from their mistakes. I try to take the fear out of learning something new and replace that fear with excitement.
How I make a difference at YTCTE
I connect well with students who need an alternative to textbook learning. I carefully break the lesson down into smaller experiences and celebrate all growth.
My favorite part about what I do
I love to witness a child grow and experience that moment when they understand a new concept. I am privileged to be tasked with the responsibility of imparting lifelong skills in my students, and I appreciate the lessons I learn from them, too!
I love the outdoors and spend many hours enjoying my garden and the nature all around us.
