Meet Mrs. Kaila Shmueli-Gil
With a decade of experience as a special education teacher, Mrs. Shmueli-Gil understands how to help students succeed. Kind, patient and witty, she has a deep respect for every child’s unique learning style, and tailors her teaching to empower each one to succeed.
What I do
I help children succeed both in school and life. In addition to the curriculum material, I teach my students to respect parents, teachers, family members, peers and themselves!
How I make a difference at YTCTE
I’ve worked with many children who have learning challenges, and it’s given me a powerful lens for helping any child thrive, no matter their learning style. I understand how to take a step back, identify the problem and then come up with a game plan to address it.
My favorite part about what I do
Every day brings something new and different! I enjoy watching my students grow and start to figure things out on their own.
Parting Words
When we moved to Florida from New York, I wanted to work in the school that my children would attend. After a tour of YTCTE, and meeting the staff members, I knew joining the team was the right decision!
