What Happened to Our Carpool Line?!?

Introducing Our Two New Modular Classrooms on the South Campus

Entering the parking lot of YTCTE South Campus during carpool hours is a sight to behold as hundreds of cars converge to pick up our students after another wonderful day. During the 2018-2019 school year, the Yeshiva worked to successfully decrease wait times and streamline the carpool process using increased technology. Even with growth in the student body, the carpool line wait time lessened substantially. However, at the end of last year, we were thrown a curveball with the arrival of two modular classrooms that removed several parking spots and a section of the carpool line. It may have seemed that the new and improved carpool line was about to take a big step backwards.

With the growth of the school and the immediate need for more space while the plans for construction of new buildings continue, modulars were the ideal and necessary solution to bridge that gap.The two state-of-the-art modular classrooms that you see are a direct result of the need for more educational space while maintaining room for creative outlets such as art and music. There are now three more large rooms and one extra large space to accommodate more students and foster their creativity without difficulty. With the growth of the school and the immediate need for more space while the plans for construction of new buildings continue, modulars were the ideal and necessary solution to bridge that gap.

The modular classrooms can, in a surprising way, provide an inadvertent solution to a perennial issue on the carpool line. As parents are aware, the curve going towards the dismissal Pavilion provided a natural blind spot and concentrated staff and students in a smaller area. Now that this tricky area is no longer accessible, staff and students will be able to spread down the main wait area on the side of the building. We are hoping that with time this will effectively be able to send more students further down in the line to provide quick and efficient carpool pickup. Please keep in mind that the lines in the beginning of the school year are always long as parents and students get acclimated to the system.

The Yeshiva is working towards providing the best carpool experience possible as the student body continues to grow and flourish. The Yeshiva is working towards providing the best carpool experience possible as the student body continues to grow and flourish. To facilitate these efforts, it is always advised that parents contact the office at the earliest possible time if changes in carpool need to be made for the day. YTCTE appreciates the patience, cooperation and understanding of our dedicated parents as we work to continue to maximize the efficiency of our carpool dismissal process. We are looking forward to a tremendous year full of learning, imagination, and of course, a smooth carpool line.

Never miss a moment.
