Motzei Shabbos 8/31/19  10:15PM:

Boruch Hashem, RMS and DACHS will have regular Torah Studies classes and shiurim tomorrow, Sunday, September 1. We will be monitoring the storm and by early Sunday evening we will send out another update regarding classes for Monday.

Please remind your sons to bring their tefillin back with them tomorrow morning.

The DACHS back to school night, currently scheduled for Monday evening, will be moved to a more “weather friendly” date. We will reschedule when the storm passes BE”H.

Friday 8/30/19  2:30 PM:  We have been tracking Hurricane Dorian and are taking preliminary measures to deal with the possibility of it striking South Florida.  We hope and pray it veers away from land.

Sunday Classes for KES elementary school boys are cancelled for this Sunday Sept. 1.

Regarding the older boys in RMS middle school and DACHS high school, where the study of Torah is even more paramount, we decided to wait until after Shabbos, when more up-to-date information is available, before making a final decision. We intend to send out an email by 11:00pm Motzei Shabbos. We really appreciate your flexibility and understanding. We will take every precaution for safety.

Decisions concerning Monday and beyond will be made when more accurate information becomes available.

We urge everyone to prepare and take all necessary precautions in light of the strong possibility of destructive weather coming to our area. At the same time, the study of Torah, especially for the older boys, should not be sacrificed when the situation may not warrant cancelling their learning, at the time in question.

In addition to the email, you can check our website or the YTCTE Automated Information Line – 305-209-0495, for the latest updates.

Best wishes for a calm and uplifting Shabbos.
