Meet Mrs. Esther Ouaknin
A warm and devoted educator who truly cares about her students, Mrs. Ouaknin teaches and inspires her students to see the beauty in Yiddishkeit and to live a meaningful life. Mrs. Ouaknin trained as a Limudei Kodesh teacher in Montreal and has been an educator for many years, helping her students discover their innate set of talents, strengths, and abilities to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
What I Do
I teach fifth grade girls Limudei Kodesh. I place an emphasis on the social/emotional aspect of education and work to give my students the tools needed to confidently navigate the world around them while reinforcing their Yiddishkeit and connection to Hashem.
How I Make a Difference at YTCTE
I am warm and fun, and I am passionate about making children feel special, happy and safe! I love teaching and helping to build children’s self-esteem. Bringing positivity and respect to every interaction I have with the students, parents, and staff members is very important to me.
My Favorite Part about What I Do
I love to connect and create meaningful relationships. It is also so rewarding to see the girls celebrating small victories and apply what they’ve learned in class.

Ms. Miri Osina
Meet Ms. Miri Osina
With many years of experience teaching in both New York and Florida, and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Ms. Osina is nurturing, ambitious, and creative. She brings joy to her class through her spontaneous and creative flair. Ms. Osina has previously taught in Yeshiva Darchei Torah in Far Rockaway and Magen David Yeshiva in Brooklyn and is the youth director for her shul. We are fortunate that Ms. Osina has been part of the YTCTE family since 2021.
What I Do
I am the Morah for Pre-K Secular Studies. I believe structure and consistency are vital for running a productive and successful classroom. It also helps students to feel safe and confident throughout the day, which leads to increased joy and learning. I try to engage my students through lessons that instill life values in creative and meaningful ways.
How I Make a Difference at YTCTE
I create a safe, fun, and supportive environment for my students. I enjoy thinking out of the box for ways to make lessons even more meaningful and engaging.
My Favorite Part about What I Do
I love getting to know my students individually, not just as a class. It is so rewarding to watch them grow to their fullest potential in my class and in the following years!
Parting Words
Close friends and family had shared with me the amazing sense of community and respect the staff in YTCTE have towards each other and when I moved down to Florida, I knew I wanted to be part of it!

Meet Mrs. Ellen Koppel
Passionate and idealistic with a great sense of humor to boot, Mrs. Koppel spends her days helping others. With a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and a deep sense of caring for others, she has made her mark in the various local schools and Yeshivos who have all benefited from her sincerity, loyalty and talent.
What I do
I support everyone under my purview, in our learning community, in their pursuit of becoming their personal best. I am committed to helping people reach their personal growth-oriented goals.
How I make a difference at YTCTE
I think that everyone makes a difference. I use my unique experiences, both professionally and personally, to offer my own unique perspectives. I look at every situation with new eyes and approach challenges creatively.
My favorite part about what I do
That’s an easy one! I am very rewarded when children look at their situations and try new solutions, allowing them great personal pride and hopefully lessons for the future. When light bulbs go off, and children accept responsibility in whatever manner, it is very exciting.

It’s a privilege to be at Toras Emes and I feel most blessed to be among such devoted and expert educators. In their midst, I am always learning!
Mrs. Massada Workman
Meet Mrs. Massada Workman
Mrs. Workman relocated to South Florida from New York and immediately was attracted to YTCTE and its warm and welcoming atmosphere. She is a preschool teacher assistant and has been working with young children, both in schools and in youth programs, for over 15 years before joining our team. Passionate about what she does, Mrs. Workman creates a warm and loving environment for YTCTE’s youngest students.
What I do
I am a teacher assistant for junior pre-k where I have the opportunity to work with the lead teacher to organize classroom activities and create engaging and fun learning activities. I try to make sure every child always feels that they can express themselves in a safe way.
How I make a difference at YTCTE
My goal every day is to make sure my children are happy and that being in my classroom is always a positive experience.
My favorite part about what I do
In everything I do, I spread positivity, joy, and love to everyone I interact with and always try to make a Kiddush Hashem. Seeing my children smile tells me I am doing something right!

Though my passion is for children, I also enjoy running a daily emunah group for young women.
